WWE SmackDown March 10: Intercontinental Title Qualifier & Tag Match Set

Two bouts have been confirmed by WWE for the SmackDown episode of March 10, 2023, which will feature a WWE Intercontinental Championship qualifying match for WrestleMania 39.
This week on SmackDown, Drew McIntyre said he would like to compete for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania this year. In reaction, McIntyre’s friend Sheamus, with whom he has a tumultuous friendship, emerged and reminded Drew of his relationship with Gunther. Drew’s reaction was direct, stating that Sheamus had already failed to defeat Gunther twice.

LA Knight also appeared and declared his intention to challenge for the championship. This attracted Kofi Kingston, who last week beat Knight along with Xavier Woods. Knight attacked Kofi in an attempt to start a fight before Karrion Kross could reach the ring. Before Kross knocked Sheamus out of the ring, Drew executed a suicide leap on the floor, hitting Kofi, Woods, and Knight.
Gunther claimed later in the programme that Adam Pearce’s failure to complete his Intercontinental title defence for WrestleMania 39 reflected poorly on his leadership. The following week, WWE revealed a five-way match to choose Gunther’s challenger, featuring Drew, Sheamus, Knight, Kofi, and Kross.
The Viking Raiders and Braun Strowman & Ricochet’s tag team match has also been revealed for next week’s episode of SmackDown. Last week, Drew McIntyre was defended by Strowman and Ricochet from a Viking Raiders assault.
So far, the March 10 SmackDown episode only has two bouts scheduled. Additionally, Roman Reigns has urged Jimmy Uso to bring Jey Uso back into The Bloodline by the following week or face the consequences there will be consequences. Will Jimmy somehow get his brother back somehow?
