WWE 2K23 Leak Suggests Edge Will Be The Star Of Its Showcase

WWE 2K23 is apparently planned to arrive at the end of March, just in time for WrestleMania, despite there being no trailer or even a mention that it is even in the works, let alone coming soon. If the upcoming WWE 2K game is indeed a little over two months away, Royal Rumble is the most likely location for the game’s official announcement.
WWE 2K23’s Showcase Mode
Since the upcoming WWE 2K game hasn’t even been formally revealed, details about what fans may anticipate from it are understandably few. According to a leak that has been making the rounds on social media, it will likely have the majority of the same game modes as WWE 2K22, such as MyGM and MyFaction, as well as the reintroduction of Showcase mode.
Over the years, Showcase has appeared and vanished from many WWE 2K games, allowing players to relive memorable moments from a certain Superstar’s career or the background of a significant event. Edge will be the focus of WWE 2K23’s Showcase mode, if the sources are reliable.
Where’s Christian?
Fans are already dissecting the list, asking what is there and, more crucially, what isn’t that they think should be there, even though this is far from being proven to be anything concrete. Any Edge and Christian bouts are perhaps the most notable omission from the schedule. Captain Charisma can’t likely be used in the game because he’s now contracted to AEW, therefore that crucial time in Edge’s career will have to be overlooked.
Almost all of Edge’s opponents and partners in the 12 encounters are Superstars you’d anticipate seeing in WWE 2K23, but there is one in there who is different from the others. Carlito. Two years ago, Carlito made a brief comeback to the WWE, but if he were to roster, it would be the first time he has been in one of the company’s games since SmackDown vs. Raw 2010. Take all of the above with a grain of salt for now, of course, but Edge being the star of the next Showcase would certainly make a lot of sense.
