WWE Considering A Hell In A Cell Match For Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble, which will take place on January 28 instead of Day 1 the following year, will be WWE’s subsequent premium live event. The WWE will be debating what other mega-fights will be on the schedule in addition to the two 30-person matches that always take place at the event, and supposedly a Hell in a Cell showdown is potentially an option.

Hell In A Cell At Royal Rumble

A Hell in a Cell bout is reportedly being explored for the Rumble PLE next month, according to the website. The announcement follows a lot of rumours that Triple H is discontinuing several events that centre around a specific match type. While Money in the Bank and Elimination Chamber are still scheduled, it appears that Hell in a Cell is not.

Since 2009, what is arguably WWE’s most recognisable gimmick match has had its own event, and unlike the majority of other non-big-four events, it hasn’t vanished from the calendar since then. The final Hell in a Cell match took place in June of this year, just before Vince McMahon announced his retirement from the WWE staff was completely reshuffled.

What Feud Needs Hell In A Cell?

Cody Rhodes’ final match, in which he wrestled despite having a torn pec, will live long in the mind of many WWE fans. If there be a Hell in a Cell match at Royal Rumble, it appears that the elimination of the event by the same name is done so that the match type won’t feel forced and can instead be utilised to end a feud, as it was intended to be before it was crammed into its own exclusive premium live event.

Now the rumours start about who might be selected to take part in a Hell in a Cell match. Bianca Belair and Bayley’s relationship on the women’s team might eventually come to an end their argument inside the building. On the men’s side, there are already rumours that Kevin Owens will have another opportunity to unseat Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. It would be different from their previous encounters if that match were held inside Hell in a Cell, and it would also be a way to exclude the rest of The Bloodline.
