Possible reason why Kevin Owens did not show up on SmackDown this week - Reports

According to reports, WWE Superstar Kevin Owens was meant to attend this week’s SmackDown tapings but was unable to do so owing to travel complications.
For the past few weeks, The Prizefighter has been a pain in The Bloodline’s side. The Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre’s mystery partner during their Survivor Series WarGames match was Owens. Before his erstwhile friend Sami Zayn intervened and stopped the referee from making the three count, he almost managed to pull off an amazing victory for his team.
According to Fightful Select, Owens was slated to appear during this week’s two SmackDown tapings. However, the alleged “horror travel circumstance” prevented the former Universal Champion from travelling to Chicago. As a result, KO was eliminated from the show, and significant production modifications were undertaken. When the John Cena video was to be broadcast, Owens was initially planned to be in the ring competing against the Bloodline.
Since WarGames, Owens has had numerous encounters with members of The Bloodline, and in the majority of those encounters, he has prevailed.
Kevin Owens enlisted the help of John Cena to take on The Bloodline
Roman Reigns, the undisputed WWE Universal Champion, asked Adam Pearce to arrange a tag team bout for the SmackDown episode on December 30 this week on SmackDown. Reigns stated that he and Sami Zayn would face Kevin Owens and a partner of Owens’ selection together.
Later that night, The Bloodline was in the ring when John Cena stopped them from the Titantron. The Cenation Leader recalled that KO texted him to remind him that he hadn’t taken part in any matches so far this year. In order to fight Reigns and Zayn, Cena explained that he was pleased to team up with Owens. He also mentioned continuing his streak of securing at least one match for the business each year in the last two decades.
