With AEW, Malakai Black is BACK! On this week’s special Thanksgiving Eve episode of AEW Dynamite, the House of Black was completely restored, much to the delight of the viewers.
On November 23, after the opening match, in which Orange Cassidy’s defeated Jake Hager to successfully defend the All-Atlantic Championship, everything took place at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The lights in the arena were turned off just as QT Marshall and The Factory were about to confront The Best Friends. When they were turned back on, Julia Hart was waiting at the top of the ramp.
Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews, members of Hart’s fellow House of Black, then entered the arena and attacked The Best Friends before turning their attention to the arrogant members of The Factory.
Black made his AEW debut in July 2021 after being dismissed from WWE in June 2021 along with a number of his old teammates. Recently released WWE talent is required to wait a minimum of 90 days before they appear for a non-WWE wrestling promotion due to the standard non-compete contract clause. However, as we have previously stated, it’s possible that a typing error caused this clause to be omitted from Black’s WWE contract.
