When Will Becky Lynch Return To WWE?
The women’s section of WWE has been expanding during the summer, and Becky Lynch could be returning to the organisation shortly. Really big Becks tore her shoulder during SummerSlam in July, missing out on the top female storyline on Monday Night Raw as a result. At that high-profile live event, Damage Control was premiered by Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai, and Lynch appeared to turn her face to stand next to Bianca Belair. For Becky, that would have been the reward for months of character development, but sadly, she was hurt.
Lynch hasn’t been away for three months, but according to a recent claim from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, she might be coming back soon. Lynch attended the Raw show on October 3 and there were rumours that she will return shortly. She has been sidelined since July, but it was also reported that her shoulder, which she separated at SummerSlam, is recovering nicely. A match between Lynch and Rousey could be planned for WrestleMania now that Rousey has become a heel, according to Meltzer. The purpose of the title change at Extreme Rules, according to the theory, was to complete Rousey’s long-planned heel turn. It will depend on how this plays out whether the 2023 WrestleMania match with current face Becky Lynch, which was the original plan, happens become obvious soon.”
Ronda Rousey Vs. Becky Lynch Could Headline WrestleMania 39
Rousey has been vocal about her desire to expand the women’s division on SmackDown, which she believes WWE is the strongest women’s division in all of professional wrestling. She recently discussed how, in contrast to nearly all of the men’s division, women don’t really understand mid-card feuds or plots. It’s a valid complaint that Triple H has already started addressing. Lynch vs. Rousey would be a major contest between two stars of different generations, and WWE must be thinking very carefully about how to promote that match as WrestleMania 39.
