Babar Azam, the all-format skipper of Pakistan, has recovered from a lacklustre performance at the Asia Cup 2022 with strong showings in the recent tri-series in New Zealand and the T20I series against England.

Famous TV broadcaster Aftab Iqbal blasted Babar Azam after the fourth match of the tri-series in New Zealand, saying that the all-format captain has become egoistic and is no longer a star in his eyes.

During the post-match press conference after Pakistan’s last group stage encounter against Bangladesh, in which Babar hit 55 runs off 40 balls, one of the journalists brought up Aftab Iqbal’s remark.
