Babar Azam Joins Exclusive Club With Another Fifty
In the final group stage encounter of the tri-series versus Bangladesh at Hagley Oval in Christchurch, Pakistan’s all-format skipper Babar Azam scored yet another half-century to aid his team in achieving a target of 174 runs.
The right-hander completed a century of fifty-plus scores in international cricket with a match-winning effort of 55 runs off 40 balls, which included nine boundaries.
The 27-year-old became the 11th Pakistani batsman to surpass the milestone of 11,000 international runs across all formats. The cricketer from Lahore needed 53 runs before to the game to accomplish the milestone.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Javed Miandad, Saleem Malik, Saeed Anwar, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi, and Misbah-ul-Haq are now joined by the all-format skipper.
