Pakistan to Raise Afghan Fans’ Hooliganism Issue Before ICC and ACC

The International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council will be contacted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on the hooliganism of Afghan fans (ACC).

Following Pakistan’s victory over Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup, a video of Afghan fans abusing Pakistani supporters inside the stadium went viral on social media.

Details indicate that the irate Afghan supporters tore up the seats in the cricket stadium and began tossing them onto Pakistani supporters who were jubilating over their team’s triumph.

Because of the negative feedback the hooliganism video received on social media, PCB decided to take notice of the situation and bring it up in front of the ICC and the ACC. In order to prevent Pakistani fans from experiencing the similar problem at future events, the PCB will document its objection against the aggressive Afghan team supporters.

Please take note that India and Afghanistan were eliminated from the event when young Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah blasted two consecutive sixes in the final over of the game as Pakistan’s national side defeated Afghanistan by one wicket.

The victory also guaranteed Pakistan a spot in the 11 September Asia Cup final match versus Sri Lanka.
