Big Changes Expected in Pakistan’s Playing XI Against Sri Lanka

After winning dramatic Super 4s matches against India and Afghanistan, the Pakistan cricket team has successfully qualified for the Asia Cup 2022 final and will now play Sri Lanka in what is termed a dress rehearsal for the final.

Hasan Ali and Usman Qadir are anticipated to replace Mohammad Hasnain and Shadab Khan in the Men in Green’s starting lineup for today’s game.

As soon as Shaheen Shah and Mohammad Wasim, the team’s two important pacers, were ruled out due to injury, Hasan Ali was recalled to the 2022 Asia Cup squad.

The Babar Azam-led team recovered admirably despite injuries to their key pacers, defeating Hong Kong by a record margin of 155 runs and then India and Afghanistan in dramatic Super 4 finals.

In the Super 4s, Pakistan and Sri Lanka each defeated India and Afghanistan to proceed to the Asian championship final, which will be played on Sunday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Both Asian teams will play without any pressure in today’s match, which will be thrilling as they look to extend their winning streaks and bolster their confidence before the final on September 11.

It is important to note that Pakistan will play in the Asia Cup final for the first time in eight years, as they were eliminated in the group stages of both the 2016 and 2018 competitions.

Men in Green last faced Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final of 2014, where they were defeated at Mirpur by five wickets.
