Arcane: Christian Linke and Alex Yee are the minds behind the animated action-adventure streaming television programme League of Legends. Arcane has reportedly won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation, according to the most recent rumours.
Arcane Is The First Gaming Show To Win An Emmy Award
The first gaming show to receive an Emmy award is this one. It is also regarded as Riot and Netflix’s hit programme. Its list of accomplishments continues to increase and now includes victories at the Golden Reel Awards, Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards, and Annie Awards.
After receiving an Emmy nomination in the field of animation for The Emmys 2022, Arcane had great hopes for winning the top prize. Popular series like Rick and Morty, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Marvel, etc. have competed against the gaming show. Additionally, the Emmys concurred that the gaming programme had outdone them since it just exhibited greater attention to detail in its animation.
The creators tweeted their gratitude to all of their supporters, saying they were “more than honoured” to receive the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. Christian Linke, a co-creator of Arcane, said the following as he accepted the award on stage:
For us, who are from the video game industry, it’s a major issue. It’s been incredible to see how the world has embraced our protagonists and our narratives.
A Netflix series created by Riot Games and Fortiche allows a general audience access to the League of Legends environment. Arcane’s victory also represents the first time ever that a streaming programme has won an Emmy while remaining committed to its core audience of devoted followers. The show’s cast members also praised the group for wining.
