WhatsApp Call Support is Finally Coming to Wear OS 3 Smartwatches: Source
People who own Samsung smartwatches have been pleading with WhatsApp for a long time to introduce user-friendly software updates. In this regard, a week after introducing its new Communities feature to a limited number of Android users, WhatsApp is now rolling out a new beta update that provides voice call capability to Wear OS 3 smartwatches. The capability is activated by default in WhatsApp beta version 2.22.19.11, per posts on the Wear OS subreddit.
Despite the lack of a Wear OS app, WhatsApp users can now accept audio calls on Wear OS 3 smartwatches according to the most recent beta version. Only the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Montblanc Summit 3 smartwatches support Wear OS 3 at the moment. It’s interesting to note that different devices have different incoming call user interfaces.

The UI for WhatsApp voice calls on a Galaxy Watch 4 connected to a Samsung phone makes it abundantly evident that the incoming call is from WhatsApp by displaying the WhatsApp logo beneath the contact information. The WhatsApp voice call UI, however, on a Galaxy Watch 5 and a Pixel 6 is the same as the standard call UI.
Despite visual differences, the functionality is the same and lets you answer WhatsApp audio calls from your wrist without taking your phone out of your pocket. Unfortunately, voice calls using Wear OS smartwatches are still not supported by WhatsApp.
This upgrade has not yet been formally announced by WhatsApp. Since the feature has only recently reached the beta channel, it may take some time before the company provides more details closer to the stable version.
